After a succesful road trip in Europe, The Future of Web Apps is holding its next conference in Miami, in February ‘08. In preparation, Mel Kirk from Carsonified will be in town this weekend to scope out venues and organize the event. Dan Rubin and I have set up a dinner this Sunday October 28th at 7:00pm on Lincoln Road to meet Mel and discuss the event. Please RSVP on the Facebook event page or leave a comment here so we can get an idea of the numbers to reserve the location.

About Alex
Alex de Carvalho is a new-media consultant, speaker, and educator who advises businesses on their use of social networks and social media to build community relationships and brand.
He is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami and the founder of StartPR, an online tracking service for reputation management, blogger relations, and brand monitoring. As an advisor to non-profit organizations creating change through media and film, he is currently working with the Knight Center for International Media, including OneWater, a network of journalists and media experts dedicated to illuminating issues arising from the lack of safe and accessible water in developing countries.
Alex organizes regular South Florida tech meetups, including RefreshMiami, BarCampMiami, and MobileMondayMiami.
